Fox had no trouble winning Tuesday night, as American Idol out rates the combined tallies of the other four networks among viewers and adults 18-49.

ABC has announced renewals for 11 of their shows, including three new shows: Brothers & Sisters, Men in Trees and Ugly Betty, for the 2007/08 television season.

Fox has moved the premiere date of their reality series On the Lot. It will still air out of an episode of American Idol, however, instead of airing out of the penultimate episode of the season, it will be airing out of the season finale.

Downloads on Microsoft’s Xbox Live service are up 400% since the company introduced downloading of television and movies in November of last year, making the site the second most popular behind Apple’s iTunes.

Warner Bros.’ 300 remained in first place over the weekend, managing to hold off three new releases in the top 10 as it took in $32.88M from 3,270 theaters and passing the $100M mark in its eighth day of release (Friday).

According to preliminary estimates, Warner Bros. 300 remained on top in its second Friday, with a strong $10.23M on Friday moving past the 100M mark in just its eighth day.

There were four new releases in the top 20 DVD charts this past week with three in the top 10. Peter Pan: Platinum Edition managed to hold off Borat for the number one spot.

Fox takes another week on the strength of American Idol and is one of only two networks to post yearly gains.

Compared to the year prior, FOX was up 5% among total households, up 5% among total viewers and even from the year prior among adults 18-49. CBS was down 12% among total households, down 15% among total viewers and down 22% among adults 18-49. NBC was down 7% among total households, down 4% among total viewers and down 5% among adults 18-49. ABC was down 23% among total households, 26% among total viewers and down 11% among adults 18-49. And finally The CW was up 25% among total households, 27% among total viewers and 20% among adults 18-49 (all compared against The WB).

The returning lineup of Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy along with the successful series launch of October Road propels ABC to the top spot with ease last night. In other series premiere news, Andy Barker, P.I. starts off poorly, while Raines is solid (both on NBC).
