The new Star Trek trailer for J.J. Abrams Star Trek has broken all existing records on Apple.com with over 1.8 million downloads during the first 24 hours on the site. The trailer also broke the weekly download record with over five million downloads since its exclusive debut on the site on March 6th.

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Sam Raimi’s upcoming horror film Drag Me to Hell. Nice to see Raimi getting back to his roots. As to the trailer itself, my first reaction is a positive one and I’m definitely looking forward to checking it out. Raimi will be on hand at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas this weekend to premiere a work-in-progress print of the film. The film will screened on midnight, Sunday, March 15th at the Paramount Theatre. Watch the trailer embedded after the jump.

Disney/Pixar have debuted the new trailer for their next animated feature Up. This looks like another winner for Pixar. The trailer gives us the deepest look into the film, including a new character (a talking dog) and a first look at the film’s villain. Watch the trailer after the jump. (more…)

The original trailer was the UK release. The official Star Trek website and Apple.com have been updated with the new US trailer (in HD), which only slightly differs from the UK version. Continue through the jump to watch both versions.

Universal Pictures has released the full trailer for Michael Mann’s Public Enemies. The film has a terrific cast, led by Johnny Depp as outlaw John Dillinger and Christian Bale who plays the FBI’s top agent, Melvin Purvis, who’s on pursuit of Dillinger.
The trailer looks really good. We should be in store for an action-packed depression era crime drama.

Empire Online has debuted a new U.K. trailer for Lionsgates’ upcoming sequel Crank: High Voltage. Jason Statham returns for the sequel, reprising his role as hitman Chev Chelios. It was co-directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor. Watch the trailer after the jump.
Crank: High Voltage is a direct sequel to Crank which was released in 2006 and grossed $44.8 million worldwide, a respective tally given the film’s very modest production budget of $12 million.

The first of three planned 60-second TV spots for X-Men Origins: Wolverine aired on Fox last night and you can watch the spot embedded below. The second TV spot will air tonight during an episode of House (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT) and the third will air on Tuesday night during an episode of American Idol (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT) on Fox.

Columbia Pictures has released the first trailer for The Taking of Pelham 123, which stars Denzel Washington and John Travolta. based on the John Godey novel, which already was the basis for the 1974 film adaptation, the film is directed by Tony Scott. The teaser trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s WWII drama Inglourious Basterds has been released. The film is a remake of the 1978 Italian film from director Enzo G. Castellari. I think Weinstein has crafted an effective, and most importantly, entertaining trailer. Watch it embedded below.
