ESPN has announced that they’re adding another high-definition channel to their lineup. ESPNews HD will be launching March 2008.

The Hallmark Movie Channel is making the move to high-definition. The network will be offering an HD simulcast, and will have the channel up by the first quarter of next year.

Warner Bros. has announced that 300 has become both the fastest and highest selling High-Definition title (Blu-ray and HD DVD), selling through more than 250,000 units in just a week of release.

Downloads on Microsoft’s Xbox Live service are up 400% since the company introduced downloading of television and movies in November of last year, making the site the second most popular behind Apple’s iTunes.

The Weather Channel will be joining the High-Definition universe soon, as the channel is readying a launch of a simulcast HD network by the second half of 2007.

ESPN announced Thursday that their ESPN2 morning daily sports talk show, Cold Pizza, and ESPN sports debate show 1st and 10 will be broadcasting in high definition beginning this June.

A couple new HD networks have been announced at the Consumer Electronics Show.
Cartoon Network, CNN, FX, Sci Fi Channel, TBS and USA Network are being readied by their respective parent company for simulcast high-defintion launches by the end of the year.
So far the only provider expected to cover all the networks is DirecTV, but as the launches approach other providers are sure to get involved.
