South Park to get the Hi-Def Treatment March 6, 2007 9:58 pm

Comedy Central’s South Park will be made available in high-definition for the first time beginning this Thursday.
On that day, the season 8 season premiere episode “Good Times With Weapons“, will be made available as an HD episode via the Xbox Live Marketplace, free of charge to Live membes for two weeks. In addition to the Microsoft gaming service, Best Buy will be offering a free HD DVD of the episode of any Xbox console or HD DVD drive from March 20 to April 3.
The move is part of a promotional push for the new season of South Park which enters its 11th season on Comedy Central this Wednesday with the episode titled “With Apologies to Jesse Jackson”.
South Park fans will also be able to download uncensored episodes of the 11th season beginning March 13.
