In an 11 picture deal, USA Network has secured the rights to airing the current film in the Bourne franchise, The Bourne Ultimatum, in addition to 9 other films.

The CW has announced plans that they are pushing up the premiere of their new drama, Gossip Girls by one week to September 19th.

Paul Blackthorne (Harry Dresden of The Dresden Files) has signed on to ABC’s upcoming drama Big Shots. If the signing of The Dresden Files‘ title character to another series wasn’t proof enough that The Dresden Files would be a one season and done show, SCI FI has confirmed that the show will not be returning for a second season.

Fox today announced that they will be revising their Fall lineup, opting to move Bones to Tuesday’s at 8:00 p.m., with Kitchen Nightmares replacing it on Wednesday’s at 9:00 p.m. Thursday’s will see the game-show duo of Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? and Don’t Forget The Lyrics!.
Also, New Amsterdam is being held off on until the midseason.

The season 4 contestants for The Biggest Loser have been announced. 18 contestants will be competiting in the fourth season of the NBC show, which returns with a special two-hour episode on Tuesday, September 11 from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT.

In a press release just issued by Fox, the network has announced that surprise gameshow hit Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader will premiere this September 6th with a two-hour special, and will air for four weeks on two nights a week.

In hopes of giving the series a push in the A18-49 demographic, FX will be airing episodes of their new drama Damages on MyNetworkTV.
The first two episodes will air tonight on the channel. This is the first time that the broadcast network has aired a program from any other News Corp. network.

On Tuesday, HDNet announced that they’ve acquired the high-definition rights to the first 26 episodes BBC’s sci-fi drama series, Torchwood, which is a spin-off to Doctor Who.

During the “Family Guy” panel at this year’s Comic-Con, the cast and crew showed the crowd in attendence several clips of what will be the season premiere of the series. Titled “Blue Harvest”, the episode will be an hour-long and be patterned in the style of an Airplane spoof of the first Star Wars film.
