Comic-Con 2007: Some Info Revealed On New “Stargate” Spin-Off July 30, 2007 2:45 pm

Suring panels on the Stargate franchise (including the ending ‘SG-1’ and the upcoming fourth season of ‘Atlantis’), writer Robert Cooper briefly spoke on the upcoming spinoff series, currently being referred to as Stargate Universe.

In a panel discussing SG-1 and that show’s upcoming direct-to-video movies, writer Robert Cooper informed the crowd that a third series is actively being prepared by the Stargate creative team. In this panel, Cooper went on to explain that this new series would in some way involve the ninth chevron. He jokingly suggested that the ninth chevron was buried under the ramp to the stargate, adding, “We’re hoping to find it.” The excitement in the room was palpable upon hearing of this possibility.
