SCI FI has ordered a third season of their hit drama/comedy series Eureka. 13 episodes were ordered in total for premiere next summer. The network has also renewed its investigative reality series Destination Truth for a second season.

The long in development (and troubled) Highlander: The Source is finally getting a release, but the film is skipping theaters and the DVD market and going straight to TV, hitting SCI FI as a TV movie this coming September.

Paul Blackthorne (Harry Dresden of The Dresden Files) has signed on to ABC’s upcoming drama Big Shots. If the signing of The Dresden Files‘ title character to another series wasn’t proof enough that The Dresden Files would be a one season and done show, SCI FI has confirmed that the show will not be returning for a second season.

Suring panels on the Stargate franchise (including the ending ‘SG-1’ and the upcoming fourth season of ‘Atlantis’), writer Robert Cooper briefly spoke on the upcoming spinoff series, currently being referred to as Stargate Universe.

The SCI FI Channel and BBC Woldwide announced today that the US network continue airing the highly successful british series Doctor Who. The third season of the show will debut on SCI FI in July 2007.

The hit Sci Fi series Battlestar Galactica has been renewed for a fourth season, Sci Fi announced yesterday.
The fourth season is tentatively set for a premiere in January of 2008, with production on 13 episodes to begin this summer. (more…)
