The low-rated female centered SCI FI program Painkiller Jane, which began its season this year on the network, will not be receiving a second season order.
SCI FI has announced that they will be wrapping production after the show’s 22-episode first season order. The remaining six episodes though will still be aired, culminating with the season/series finale on September 21.
The cancellation isn’t too surprising, given the show rarely placed on even the networks top 10 charts, let alone anywhere high on basic cable. The show premiered to the tune of only a 1.3/1 HH Rating/Share, 1.55 million viewers and a 0.5/2 A18-49 rating and continued downward from that point on.
