CBS takes another week among households and viewers, while American Idol (the week’s top rated show across the board) gives FOX the win for the week among the key A18-49 demographic.

Compared to the year prior, CBS was up 19% among total households, up 21% among total viewers and up 13% among adults 18-49. FOX was up 15% among total households, up 18% among total viewers and up 17% among adults 18-49. ABC was down 15% among total households, down 16% among total viewers and down 14% among adults 18-49. NBC was down 52% among total households, 52% among total viewers and 50% among adults 18-49 (only because they aired the Olympics this time last year). Compared to the average of UPN and The WB last season, The CW was up 9% among total households, 10% among total viewers and 10% among adults 18-49.

Fox has announced their Summer premieres, including the Steven Spielberg produced reality series On the Lot May 16.  It will launch out of the penultimate episode of American Idol this season.

According to multiple sources close to Broadcasting & Cable, Jimmy Fallon (Saturday Night Live) may return to NBC to serve as the replacement for Conan O’Brien when he moves on to Jay Leno in 2009.

Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives) has signed a four-year deal with ABC Television to remain on board with the network through the 2011 season. That will take the series through 7 seasons.

The Saw franchise will continue on.  Director Darren Lynn Bousman (who directed Saw II and Saw III) will be returning to film the fourth installment, which will begin production on April 16.

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films have announced the nominations for the 33rd Annual Saturn Awards.

Leading the pack of nominees was Warner Bros. Bryan Singer directed Superman Returns which received 10 nominations, including Best Fantasy Film, Best Director and Best Writing. The film also took nominations in all acting categories.

According to Moviehole.net, the next Rambo film has got a new name. The film is now called John Rambo.

This marks the third title for the film (it was first called Rambo IV: In the Serpent’s Eye, and then Rambo IV: Pearl of the Cobra).

Sony’s Ghost Rider opened very strong on Friday, and increased its box office take on Saturday to win the weekend with $45.39M from 3,619 theaters ($52.02M when you include the Monday holiday.
