Saturn Nominations Announced: Superman Returns Leads February 21, 2007 12:00 pm

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films have announced the nominations for the 33rd Annual Saturn Awards.
Leading the pack of nominees was Warner Bros. Bryan Singer directed Superman Returns which received 10 nominations, including Best Fantasy Film, Best Director and Best Writing. The film also took nominations in all acting categories.
X-Men: The Last Stand and Pan’s Labyrinth followed with six nominations each.
In the television field, <em>Lost</em> took the top spot with 6 nominations, followed by newcomer Heroes with 5 and Battlestar Galactica and Dexter (each with 4 nominations).
Warner Bros. (obviously helped by the 10 nominations for Superman Returns) was the most awarded studio with 21 total nominations, followed by Sony with 15 and 20th Century Fox with 13.
On the TV side, Sci Fi led all networks with 8 nominations, followed by NBC/Universal with 7 and TNT and ABC (each with 6 nominations).
