I’m hoping “October Road” is my kind of show. I need something to fill my “Thursday’s at 9 o’clock” slot.

2. D'Ann - March 6, 2007 5:44 pm

Help. I’ve seen the preview of it –what’s the song they play at the end of the preview? It’s lady singing..something like–somewhere, some … you’ll be long gone.

3. mosh - March 10, 2007 12:00 pm

D’Ann, Pink sings that song!

4. tiffany - March 11, 2007 12:15 am

What is the song they play on the preview for the show, someone on here said it is by Pink, but what is the title?

5. Russ T.C. - March 11, 2007 1:24 pm

Thanks for chiming in, mosh with the name of the artist.

D’Ann and tiffany:
The song is indeed by Pink. It’s called “Who Knew” and it’s from her current album titled I’m Not Dead.

You can listen to a brief clip of it through Amazon.com’s CDNOW section here. (Simply scroll down the page until you come to the “Listen to Samples” section and click on the appropriate songs “Listen” link.)

Take care everyone!

Thanks for the info about the promo song! “Who Knew” is probably the best song I hear from Pink in years. Loving it!

10. Steve - March 16, 2007 7:58 pm

I loved the show, especially the music. It was kind of eerie hearing Boston’s “Don’t Look Back” after the suicide of Boston singer Brad Delp in the last couple weeks

11. Ann - March 17, 2007 9:38 am

Thanks sooooo much RussT.C.!!! You’re the greatest! Smile!

Hey, fann. If you notice, I did briefly discuss the return of Six Degrees in this post, so questions pertaining to either show are welcome. :)

If you’re talking about the promo spot that aired during Thursday nights episode of Grey’s Anatomy, the name of the song in that promo is “Love Will Come Through” from Travis. Click this link to be directed to the iTunes site to listen to the sample.

The song was actually used in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy this season. That’s how I recognized it so quickly.

15. dsj - March 23, 2007 12:55 am

i would also like to know the name of the song from the six degrees promo. it is not the travis song though.

16. Russ T.C. - March 23, 2007 12:57 am

Hmm, sorry then. Did the promo air during Grey’s Anatomy Thursday evening?

17. dsj - March 23, 2007 1:05 am

it aired during october road

18. Russ T.C. - March 23, 2007 1:11 am

Yeah, sorry. I didn’t keep my recording of October Road on my DVR as I decided to watch it semi-live (skipping the commericials). I didn’t notice the promo during the show.

Was it the same promo, just a different song? Because the promo that fann is talking about jives with the one I seen during Grey’s. The proposal bit is in it, and the song being played is “Love Will Come Through”.

Hopefully someone else who seen the promo can help out.

19. Trish E - March 23, 2007 4:12 pm

I meant to write down the song that was playing at the end credits last night and I have now forgotten as I sit here at work this afternoon….Someone please help! :-)
It’s an 90’s or later classic that I know and recognize. Just can’t seem to think of it now..

20. Trish E - March 23, 2007 4:15 pm

Just found it…POISON! :)

Hey everyone – go to http://www.tunefind.com. All music that is played on our favorite shows! yes.

21. fann - March 23, 2007 8:17 pm

it was a womans voice, just singing “ahh..” her voice getting higher like right after/as a guy showed the ring to bridget moynihan. i believe it aired around greys anatomy.

22. Russ T.C. - March 24, 2007 12:20 am

Yup, that’s a great resource, Trish.

23. Rachel Lamanati - March 24, 2007 7:38 am

What happened? I set my DVR to record Six Degrees last night, and all I got was the last half of a movie with Minnie Driver. Anyone else get pre-empted? Or did everyone get the return of Six Degrees? I have been waiting sooooo long. Hopefully it just got delayed ’til next week.

24. Lou G - March 25, 2007 9:12 pm

Can ABC grows some B-lls and Renew 6 degrees, Put the Nine on Saturday. Instead of showing first run shows twice a week, Greys Antaomy ets. The networks wonder why people swith to cable stations, when NBC, CBS ABC, kill shows that are good by playing them twice a week, way to many re-runs and its not even June!
Plus nevr giving shows time to grow and audience.

25. Kim O - March 27, 2007 5:33 pm

to fann and dsj – I was dying to know the song you were looking for as well. I finally found it. It is called “Put your records on” by Corinne Bailey Rae. Hopefully this is the same song you were looking for. You can find it on itunes.

26. JJ - March 27, 2007 7:40 pm

I too heard the promo and I know the song you are thinking of but I can’t come up with the title or artist either. It’s not Corinne Bailey Rae… it’s older than that — at least several years old… starts with just piano and I think the first words might be something like “Let me tell you” or “Let me show you”, or something like that… and then on the chorus she has a long note that goes ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah something or other (so-ti-do-so-ti-do mi do), kind of almost with a little yodel/break in the voice as it goes up. I wish you could look up songs by melody somehow!

27. jj - April 5, 2007 3:40 pm

I finally remembered what that song was from the Six Degrees promo — the woman’s voice with ah-ah-ah… It’s “In This Life” by Chantal Kreviazuk! Whew, there, now I feel much better!

28. Mandy - April 5, 2007 10:14 pm

I totally love October Road!! It’s my new favorite show after Grey’s Anatomy. I absolutely love it!

29. Sherri - April 5, 2007 10:57 pm

38. Megs - May 6, 2007 1:51 pm

Does anybody know that song that was playing on a couple commercials for October Road that had something about “they say it’s a wonderful life” I know that’s not much but I can’t seem to find it on the show’s website. It’s a male’s voice and has an alternative sound to it

39. Iliana - May 26, 2007 5:17 pm

Hi!,

Anyone have the songs played on Six Degrees unaired episodes? I see those episodes are finally available online since they’ve cancelled this amazing show! :(

I saw episode 9 – sedgewicks – there are four great songs – i wrote down few lyrics but couldn’t catch the songs/find them on google. Would appreciate your help!

here are the lyrics:

1. song 1 – max’s parents get together: “and the mountains look so high…..i don’t believe”

2. Damien and the new girl at her apartment — “i just fall to pieces when you laugh my whole world eases
cross my heart and …
….big brown eyes”

3. max’s parents spend the evening together — “you gave me your secrets and heaven above….
do you want me now do you want me here”

4. at sedgewick’s bar — couldn’t catch any words.

Thanks!
