If you missed it, IGN reported a few days ago that Nu Image/Millennium was bringing Buck Rogers to the theaters, and they were looking at Frank Miller to direct. Nu Image/Millenium responded saying that no deal was in place. Now we get word from the writer-producer of the Buck Rogers film, Flint Dille that Miller is definitely not going to direct the movie. Well, it’s that time of year again when the networks make their pitch for which new and returning shows will hit it big in the upcoming TV season. Just like last year, I plan on keeping track of all the updates, and providing you all with an easy to follow and extensive guide of what’s been picked up and what’s not coming back.
I’m in the process of creating a new programming guide, just as I did last season, and have already created a development/schedule post for NBC (which you can check out here) who pitched their programming earlier than usual and had a couple small announcements today . I’ll be doing the same thing for the other networks once the announcements are made.
Here’s the schedule:
Monday, May 13
NBC
As I noted above, NBC already had their presentation a few weeks ago. Today they made just a few announcements, which I’ve already written about on the site: Fallon replacing O’Brien, picked up Momma’s Boys and the Heroes and The Office webisodes.
Tuesday, May 13
ABC
The CW
Wednesday, May 14
CBS
Thursday, May 15
FOX
Should other news stories bubble to the service, all you’ll have to do is head to the 2008/2009 Television page and click on the link for whichever network you are looking for.

Lionsgate has pushed back the release of the religion documentary Religulous. The film was originally set to release on July 2nd, but will now hit theaters on October 3rd. Religulous is directed by Larry Charles (Borat) and stars comedian/TV show host Bill Maher (Real Time with Bill Maher). Maher gave the following explanation in his reasoning behind doing the film: “I wanted to make a documentary, and I wanted it to be funny. In fact, since there is nothing more ridiculous than the ancient mythological stories that live on as today’s religions, this movie would try to be a real knee-slapper. Unless, of course, you’re religious; then you might not like it.”

The first set photo from Platinum Bay’s upcoming Friday the 13th remake has been released. Producer Brad Fuller also revealed a few details about the movie. Check out the photo and Fuller’s thoughts after the jump. Friday the 13th stars Derek Mears as Jason Voorhees, Jared Padalecki and Amanda Righetti. It’s scheduled to hit theaters in 2009.
