Every weekend I contribute a column titled “Sci-Fi Saturday” (sometimes “Sci-Fi Sunday”) to TrekMovie.com. If you’re not aware of the site, do give it a browse. The site’s owner/editor, Anthony Pascale, has done a wonderful job making it “the source for everything new in Trek”, as the site’s tag line rightfully claims.

I haven’t updated the site recently because I was at — and more importantly a part of — a wedding late last week and over the weekend. Look for news updates and ratings reports to be posted throughout the day as I catch up with the news cycle.

Today the site recorded its 1,000,000th visit (3:25am on Sunday, June 29, 2008). Not bad eh? I don’t usually celebrate things like this, but I figured, what the heck. It only happens once right?
I started the site back in September of 2006 mainly as a way for me to jot down my thoughts on broadcast TV ratings, and to occasionally throw in articles and what not on movies, television and other miscellaneous things that interest me. I never envisioned it to become in anyway popular, so you can’t imagine how pleased I am that it’s been so successful.
I thank you all for the visits, comments and e-mails. I plan to grow the site, adding more reviews, giveaways and original content. I hope you continue to frequent the site as I grow.

I’ve made an update to my Fall 2008 programming guide, adding in the premiere dates for the Fox programming. As before, I still plan to add a few other things, such as synopses for the new shows, in future updates.

Like last year, I’ve decided to create a programming guide for the fall season. My 1st edition for Fall 2008 is online now. This year’s edition is a little less bloated than last year’s and I’ve done it in a different, more simple style. It also only has premiere dates for the NBC shows. That will of course be remedied once the other networks make their announcements. I also plan to add a few other things, such as synopses for the new shows, in future updates.

Well, it’s that time of year again when the networks make their pitch for which new and returning shows will hit it big in the upcoming TV season. Just like last year, I plan on keeping track of all the updates, and providing you all with an easy to follow and extensive guide of what’s been picked up and what’s not coming back.
I’m in the process of creating a new programming guide, just as I did last season, and have already created a development/schedule post for NBC (which you can check out here) who pitched their programming earlier than usual and had a couple small announcements today . I’ll be doing the same thing for the other networks once the announcements are made.
Here’s the schedule:

As I noted above, NBC already had their presentation a few weeks ago. Today they made just a few announcements, which I’ve already written about on the site: Fallon replacing O’Brien, picked up Momma’s Boys and the Heroes and The Office webisodes.

CBS
Thursday, May 15
FOX

You might be wondering why the site hasn’t been updated in recent days. Well, I graduated from College this weekend!
Look for the site to be fully back on target, and up to date, by Monday night/Tuesday morning at the latest.
