Get ready for more online content. NBC today announced that webisodes for The Office and Heroes would officially premiere on NBC.com starting this July. First up will be The Office in July. The webisodes will focus on Kevin’s gambling issues and how he plans to pay for his debts. The series will also feature Stanley, Oscar and Darryl. This is the second webisodes series for The Office (The Accountants premiered back in 2006).
The Heroes webisodes will premiere in mid-July alongside the premiere of Manhunt. Details are scarce, but NBC did reveal that the series will introduce a new villain leading up to the third season premiere of the show on September 15th. Looks like this is NBC’s workaround for the “Heroes: Origins” spinoff they were forced to cancel before it got off the ground.
