Don’t read further if you don’t want to be spoiled. With that warning out of the way, according to TV Week, NBC’s post-Super Bowl hour-long episode of The Office will feature employees of Dunder Mifflin roasting the show’s lead character, Michael Scott (Steve Carell).
The roast of Mr. Scott will not be celebrity-driven, but producers are exploring the idea of incorporating some stunt casting into the project. However, the guest stars would be woven into the plotline in such a way as to not interfere with the carefully constructed world of the Scranton branch of Dunder Mifflin, a person familiar with the plotline said.
The roast, desired by Michael, of course, isn’t expected until the second half of the episode. The first half will involve a “disaster” linked to Dwight’s training as fire marshal.

Ricky Gervais reported over on his official site, that Steve Carell, who plays Michael Scott on NBC’s The Office has signed on with the show for an additional three years.
Had some great news today about the American version of The Office.
Steve Carell (now one of the most bankable film stars in the world) has just signed up for another three years with us. He is the hardest working man in Hollywood and the harder he works the better it is for me. I mean… well done Steve you are wonderful.
