The star of House, Hugh Laurie, was at Buckingham Palace today (Wednesday, May 23) for a ceremony in which he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II, according to news reports.

The LA Times is reporting that Oscar-winner Paul Haggis (Crash) is returning to the James Bond universe, agreeing to work on the script for the follow up to Casino Royale, currently being referred to as James Bond 22.

NBC has decided to not renew their ties with long-time Dateline co-anchor Stone Phillips, ending the anchor’s run on the newsmagazine and leaving Anny Curry as the sole anchor on the show.

Shrek the Third claimed the top spot for the weekend, with a better than expected take of $121.63M from 4,122 theaters. Well outpacing the first weekend total for the previous two Shrek films.

Shrek the Third may be getting horrible reviews from the press and fans alike (44% rating among Critics at Rotten Tomatoes — 58% among fans), but that negativity sure isn’t spreading to the box office, as the film grossed an estimated $38.10M on Friday.
