NBC continues to perform well with their season premieres, as the network manages a solid tie for first among households, was just 30,000 viewers away from first among total viewers, and posted a tie for first among adults 18-49.

The solid showing was due to another impressive outing from Deal or No Deal and a much-needed strong premiere for the new season of The Apprentice (The Celebrity Apprentice).

Fox meanwhile tied for first among households, but came out on top among viewers, again just slightly, and was tied for first among adults 18-49 thanks to its Orange Bowl coverage. Good news for the network was slight growth from the year prior for the bowl game.

CBS meanwhile managed to hold their own, despite airing an entire evening of repeats. In fact, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation was the nights most-watched program among both households and viewers.
