There were six new releases in the top 20 DVD charts this past week with four in the top 10. Flushed Away managed to stay atop the charts for a second straight week.

Originally reported as a an unconfirmed rumor, Variety has confirmed that Maggie Gyllenhaal (Stranger Than Fiction, World Trade Center) is in final talks to join the cast of Batman: The Dark Knight (sequel to Batman Begins).

Rumored to be in talks a little more than two weeks back, it has now been confirmed by Variety that Shia LaBeouf (Transformers) is indeed in final talks to portray the son of archaeologist Indiana Jones in the upcoming fourth installment of the franchise.

Production on Toy Story 3 has began and is scheduled for release in 2010 said John Lasseter, CCO of Pixar and Disney Animation Studios on Thursday.
The announcement was made during a shareholder meeting in New Orleans.
