Spike TV has extended its deal with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.  They’ll remain the exclusive basic-cable home to the league through 2011.

Paramount Pictures has begun casting for G.I. Joe, the Stephen Sommers directed film.  Filming is expected to start in mid-February 2008 in Prague and Los Angeles.

Fox Picks Up “Back to You” For Full Season, While ABC Orders Six More Scripts of “Samantha Who?” October 25, 2007 1:09 am

Fox has given a full season order to their new comedy series Back to You, deciding to stick with the low-rated series with a stronger commitment of 11 episodes, instead of the usual 9 episode “back nine order”. That means the series will have a total of 24 episodes this season.

ABC meanwhile has put in an order for six more scripts of their successful new comedy series Samantha Who?.

Competitive Tuesday goes to Fox who had the nights most-watched program among adults 18-49 (House).

ABC and CBS remained close in second and third place respectively, with ABC’s Dancing With the Stars taking top honors as the nights most-watched program, and CBS’s NCIS continuing to perform very strongly.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Fox is looking to create a spinoff to its third year drama Prison Break.  Tentatively titled Prison Break: Cherry Hill, the show would focus on a new character (Molly) that will be introduced later this season on Prison Break.

ABC takes the evening with the nights most-watched and highest rated program Dancing With the Stars, which was also the most-watched program among adults 18-49 and a very solid second outing from new series Samantha Who?, which had a very minimal second week drop-off among total audience, and managed a slight uptick among adults 18-49.

NBC’s Heroes remains strong overall, especially among adults 18-49, but it’s lagging behind last season’s numbers.
