The SCI FI Channel today issued a press release about the the fifth season of Stargate Atlantis, which begins production later this month. In addition to plans to celebrate the show’s 100th episode, the network announced a new regular castmember; Robert Picardo.

After eleven years on the Stargate franchise as a regular cast member, actress Amanda Tapping is leaving her role on Stargate Atlantis to focus on the new series Sanctuary, which was just picked up by the SCI FI channel for 13 episodes (related article here).

NBC has set slightly changed the premiere date for their new competition series My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad. It’ll premiere on Monday, February 18 from 9:00-10:00 p.m. ET rather than its previously announced 8:00-9:00 p.m. premiere.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Sylvester Stallone shot down recent prospects of another Rambo film (related story here). The actor, who’s Rambo debuted last weekend in second place with an impressive $18.2 million told reporters at a press conference that “This is the last Rambo just as Rocky Balboa is the last Rocky”.

Well, yesterday Disney registered the domain names NationalTreasure3DVD.com and NationalTreasure4DVD.com, so it seems like the studio is at least looking towards the possibility of more films in the franchise.
