Fox today announced early pick ups for two of their shows: House will return for a fourth season and Bones will be returning for its third season.

NBC has set an return date for Identity. The series, which debuted for one week before Christmas, will return to the schedule on Friday, March 16 from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET.

The first week after the Super Bowl saw a slight increase for CBS’s Evening News with Katie Couric, as well as for ABC’s World News with Charles Gibson (which managed to move into first place) NBC’s Nightly News with Brian Williams dipped slightly.

Comedy Central has issued a quick renewal for their freshman comedy The Sarah Silverman Program.

The network has ordered 14 episodes of the second season, which will premiere in the fall of this year.

The hit Sci Fi series Battlestar Galactica has been renewed for a fourth season, Sci Fi announced yesterday.

The fourth season is tentatively set for a premiere in January of 2008, with production on 13 episodes to begin this summer. (more…)

CBS, on the strength of its comedies and CSI: Miami (the nights highest rated show), took the top spot among households and total viewers, while Fox barely nudged ahead among the key adults 18-49 demographic.

Fox takes another evening on the strength of American Idol. Lost’s return to primetime in a new timeslot is down from previous episodes, while Criminal Minds (now no longer facing Lost) was boosted by the Super Bowl push to be the nights highest rated and most watched scripted program among households and total viewers.

Former Dallas Cowboy wide receiver Michael Irvin leads the Pro Football Hall of Fame Class of 2007, along with running back Thurman Thomas, offensive lineman Bruce Mathews, defensive back Roger Wehrli, tight end Charlie Sanders and guard Gene Hickerson (both of which were the two nominees of the veterans’ committee).
