Empire has released three new photos (two in-film, one behind-the scenes) from the Bryan Singer directed and Tom Cruise starring WWII picture Valkyrie.  The two in-film photos feature Cruise’s character Claus Von Stauffenberg.  Valkyrie hits theaters on October 3, 2008. A new movie poster for the upcoming ‘X-Files’ sequel has found its way online.  There’s no official confirmation as to whether or not its real, but word is this is the legitimate poster (teaser of course since a title for the film still doesn’t appear). A second, leaked, trailer for July’s The X-Files 2 (still untitled) has surfaced online.  This trailer is more of a full-length one, going into a bit more detail than the previously leaked teaser trailer.  It’s unclear if this is the final trailer, but if it is, its expected to come attached to May’s Iron Man.  Check it out after the jump.

Jule Benz has been cast to star in Saw V, the latest installment in the horror franchise.  The fifth film, to be directed by David Hackl, began production two weeks ago and will open in theaters on October 24th. [Variety]

Elizabeth Banks is in final negotiations to portray Laura Bush in Oliver Stone’s upcoming George W. Bush biopic W, according to The Hollywood Reporter.  Josh Brolin is already on board to play Bush in the film.   In a separate article, Entertainment Weekly reported on who are in talks to play George Bush Sr. and Colin Powell, as well as who Stone is looking to portray Vice President Dick Cheny.  Continue reading for the details. In the past director Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend) has mentioned the possibility of a sequel to Constantine, saying it all depended on a script.  But in an interview with IESB star Keanu Reeves shot down the prospects of another go at the character.

Paramount has released two new images from the upcoming Stephen Sommers-directed G.I. Joe movie. The images are of the mute, faceless, black-clad ninja commando Snake Eyes. The character is played by Ray Park.  USA Today has also has a new story up on the film. Check out two images of the character, along with some highlights of the article after the jump.

Jared Padalecki (Supernatural) is in final negotiations to star in the upcoming remake to Friday the 13th, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film will be produced by Michael Bay’s production arm Platinum Dunes for New Line and Paramount. Keeping with tradition, a release is planned for Friday, February 13, 2009.

Warner Bros. has announced the voice cast for the upcoming animated original movie Batman Gotham Knight, the third release in the DC Universe Animated Original Movie series from DC Comics. Kevin Conroy returns for the title role in the film, which will be released on July 8, 2008 on DVD, Special Edition 2-disc DVD and Blu-ray Hi-Def.

20th Century Fox has set a date for John Singleton’s film version of the 1980s TV series The A-Team.  The film will be released on June 12, 2009.   The A-Team will follow the exploits of Hannibal Smith and his team of former special forces soldiers, who have been set up for a crime they didn’t commit.  Casting hasn’t been announced yet. Capcom today confirmed the main cast for its upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie, based on the popular video game series.  The story revolves around Chun-Li, who will be portrayed by Kristen Kreuk (Smallville).  Michael Clark Duncan, Neal McDounough, and taboo of Black Eye Peas round out the cast.  Continue reading for the press release.

Director Sam Raimi is set to revive the “Jack Ryan” franchise, taking on the Tom Clancy character after he finishes his upcoming horror film Drag Me To Hell.  Raimi would develop and direct a series of films for Paramount, which hopes to see the first film released in 2010. [Variety]
