A new poster, from the UK, for The X-Files: I Want To Believe has been released. Check it out after the jump.
Synopsis
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully with this long-delayed big-screen continuation that revives the series six years after it headed off the air in 2002. Creator Chris Carter returns to direct, co-writing the script with series veteran Frank Spotnitz for 20th Century Fox. Billy Connolly, Amanda Peet and rapper Xzibit co-star in the stand-alone sequel.

Hardcore fans awaiting the return of Agents Mulder and Scully will have the chance being invited to the world premiere screening of the film on July 23rd at the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. Here are the details:
The studio is inviting X-Philes to gather that day in specially-built seating in front of the Hollywood landmark, where they can observe the red-carpet arrivals – and participate in a special conference with the film’s stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, plus writer-producer-director Chris Carter and writer-producer Frank Spotnitz. Situated on a stage in front of the theater, the four filmmakers will field questions from the fans, prior to fulfilling their more traditional duties with the press.
Seating will be available on a first-com, first-serve basis. All you have to do is be one of the first 500 fans to arrive that day, when, beginning at 4pm, special credentials will be distributed. The festivities begin at 6pm.
Fans unable to get to the event, or not one of the lucky 500, will still be able to experience the event via a special internet site where they can direct questions in real-time to the film’s cast and crew.

Two new photos from The X-Files: I Want to Believe have been released. So, we’re about three months away from the film’s release, and yet we still don’t have a trailer. It took a long time, but we finally have the title for the upcoming X-Files sequel. Series creator and director Chris Carter told the AP that 20th Century Fox has approved the title of the film. The sequel will be titled The X-Files: I Want to Believe. Highlights from the AP article follow after the jump. The X-Files: I Want to Believe hits theaters on July 25, 2008.

A new movie poster for the upcoming ‘X-Files’ sequel has found its way online. There’s no official confirmation as to whether or not its real, but word is this is the legitimate poster (teaser of course since a title for the film still doesn’t appear).
