During the presentation of the trailer for the upcoming animated series The Clone Wars on Sunday, Lucasfilm Ltd. confirmed that they expect the show to air fall 2008.

According to preliminary estimates, it appears that Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End will not be challenging Spider-Man 3 for the three-day record. The film grossed $43 million on Friday ($3 million of which includes Thursday midnight showings).

Star Wars seems to be all the rage this year especially when it comes to animation. With the folks at Robot Chicken incorporating the franchise into one of their episodes, now comes word from Variety that the creators of Family Guy have gotten the go-ahead by Lucasfilm to start next season with a Star Wars spoof.
