NFL fans who don’t have NFL Network need not worry about missing out on this coming Saturday’s Giants vs. Patriots matchup, as the NFL has announced that the game will be given a three-network telecast. The game will be shown on CBS and NBC, in addition to its normal broadcast on NFL Network.

In an interview with MTV, The Kingdom director Peter Berg confirmed a rumor that Dune is coming back and that he will be directing it. Berg told MTV that plans for him to direct are “a done deal” and that “if it weren’t for the writer’s strike, we’d be in it right now.”

Comedy Central has confirmed that its latenite talk shows The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and The Colbert Report are returning to air original episodes on January 7, two months after taking a break due to the WGA strike.

In a piece on Hugh Jackman finished shooting on director Baz Luhrmann’s most recent film Stay in Touch, The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that filming on Jackman’s upcoming X-Men spin-off X-Men Origins: Wolverine will begin in just three weeks.

In a good bit of welcome news, Academy Award-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson, and the MGM (Harry Sloane) and New Line (Bob Shaye and Michael Lynne) chairmans jointly announced today that they have entered into an agreement that will have Jackson returning, alongside Fran Walsh, to executive produce two films based on The Hobbit.
