crusoe-112508In order to move Lipstick Jungle up one hour from Friday’s at 10pm to Friday’s at 9pm, NBC is shipping off Crusoe to Saturday nights.  Not at all a good sign.

Starting December 5th, Lipstick Jungle will move into the 9pm slot between Deal or No Deal and returning news magazine Dateline.  The remaining three episodes will then air on December 12th, January 2nd and January 9th.  Crusoe meanwhile will finish out its run starting Saturday, December 6th at 8pm.

lipstickungle-112108Turns out Lipstick Jungle may not be canceled afterall (as was recently reported).  An NBC staffer has e-mailed TV Squad informing the site that NBC was going to wait out the show’s Friday night “death slot” before making a decision.

Four more episodes of the show are left to air and NBC will make a decision after that 13-episode order is completed.

myownworstenemy-111308NBC has pulled the plug on two of its shows: freshman drama My Own Worst Enemy and second-year series Lipstick Jungle, according to THR.  NBC had high hopes for ‘Enemy’, but the series got out of the gate poorly and sunk to a very poor 1.8 A18-49 rating and 4.3 million total viewers on Monday night.  Lipstick Jungle drew a weaker 3.3 million total viewers and a 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 on Friday.

It’s unclear at this time how NBC’s schedule will change.  Production continues on the ninth, and final, episode of My Own Worst Enemy (four have aired) while Lipstick Jungle has all 13 episodes of its initial order complete.
