Stephen Chow is no longer attached to direct Columbia Pictures’ big-screen adaptation of The Green Hornet. Variety is reporting that Chow stepped aside due to “creative differences”. It’s unclear whether the disagreements arised between the studio, or the project’s producers/screenwriters Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Columbia is looking for a new director that could be announced by the end of the year, and still plans to begin production by spring and release the film on June 25, 2010.
