This has been quite a season for cable TV records. MSNBC’s telecast of the Democratic Debate on Tuesday (Feb. 26) between Senator’s Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton drew a total audience of 7.78 million viewers, making it the second most-watched debate of all-time (on Cable), and the most-watched program in the history of MSNBC.
The debate only narrowly was edged out by the January 31st CNN debate (also on the Democratic side and between the two senator’s) among adults 25-54 (MSNBC: 3.24M, CNN: 3.26M).
Among all debates telecast this season (including on the broadcast networks), it is the third most-watched among viewers.
