ABC has decided to hold off on the premiere of Life on Mars.
The network has pushed the drama (based on the UK production) to midseason 2007/2008 citing casting issues as the main culprit.
The series is produced by David E. Kelly (Boston Legal) and the delay will give him and the network more time finding a suitable actor for the lead role. So far, only one main role has been cast, that of the female detective. Rachell Lefevre (What About Brian) was cast for that role.
