CBS dominates the evening among households and viewers, and wins among adults 18-49 as well, with a very strong outing for its sweeps crossover event of CSI (the night’s most watched show among households and viewers) and Without a Trace.

ABC though remained even from the week prior as Grey’s Anatomy continues to gain viewers week-to-week and maintains its strong demo audience (first for the evening among adults 18-49).

Led by the evening’s most watched series among adults 18-49 (House), Fox won the night among the demo and among both households and viewers.

However, it was a very competitive evening in overall viewership, with both CBS and ABC very close behind. CBS actually had the night’s most watched program in NCIS, which just narrowly finished ahead of House in total audience. The episode of NCIS was its most-watched episode ever for the fifth year series.

NBC also had some good news last night, as the network managed to leap frog both CBS and ABC to take second place on the evening among adults 18-49, thanks to a two-hour edition of The Biggest Loser and the always reliable Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

An extended (1 hour and 45 minute) edition of Dancing With the Stars powers ABC to evening win among households viewers and adults 18-49.

CBS, NBC and Fox remain competitive among the demo.

In terms of shows, NBC’s Heroes posts a series low in viewership, but remains strong in the key A18-49 demographic.

A half-hour NFL Overrun, which featured the heavily hyped matchup between the Patriots and Colts powered CBS to a strong household and viewer win for the evening. The increased viewership also helped the network’s lineup post impressive week-to-week gains and a great start to the new season of The Amazing Race.

However, NBC still managed to win the evening among adults 18-49, and ABC and Fox both stayed competitive for viewers in the demo.

My full analysis follows after the jump.
