Nielsen Media has begun tracking viewing habits of users with TiVo/DVR devices, and the results are quite interesting.

The NFL game which pitted Terell Owen against his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, attracted a 13.9 rating (22.1M viewers) this past Sunday on FOX.
The game was the second most watched program of the week, behind Grey’s Anatomy on ABC (22.8M) .

Heroes shows great improvement, tying for first in the coveted A18-49 demo, and increasing its viewers from the previous week. CBS though comes away with the win for the evening on all fronts.

NBC finishes in first, followed by ABC and then CBS. Both NBC and ABC increased from last week in total viewers and the key A25-54 demo, while CBS decreased in both categories.
CBS is still up nearly 20% from its average last season, while NBC and ABC are down in the single digits.

With FOX starting their Baseball coverage, ABC pulled out an easy win. Friday Night Lights struggles out of the gate, while Veronica Mars premieres even with last season.

Just like last week, it’s CBS taking the win in total viewers and ABC in A18-49.
The highest rated show for the week was CSI (breakdown below) and the best performing New show to launch last week was Ugly Betty – 16.32M viewers (#9) – 5.5 Rating. (this is the second week an ABC series leads the pack among new shows–last week Brothers & Sisters pulled in 15.69M viewers (#12)).

In its second week of operation, the networks two dramas decline from their first week in total households and A18-49.
From September 11 to September 15th
8 PM – Desire – .93M viewers (0.3 A18-49 rating)
- This is down from 1.2M viewers and a 0.4 A18-49 rating
9PM – Fashion House – 1.1M viewers (0.4 A18-49 rating)
- This is down from 1.3M viewers and a 0.5 A18-49 rating.
