Variety is reporting that Emily Blunt has emerged as the frontrunner to play the role of Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow in the sequel to Iron Man.
Marvel would not comment on the Black Widow casting. Iron Man 2, directed by Jon Favreau and written by Justin Theroux, begins production this spring and will hit theaters on May 7, 2010.
