CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 5.7/9 household rating/share 8.81 million viewers and a 2.7/7 rating/share among adults 18-49.

- Note: Last year’s telecast was affected by the strike and was not live. Nor did it feature any celebrities. Because of that, I’ve also included the numbers from the 2007 telecast so a more fair comparison can be made. As you’ll quickly notice, the show still remains down by a good deal from its more common numbers.

ABC followed in second place for the evening with a 5.6/9 household rating/share and 8.36 million viewers and was tied for second among adults 18-49 with a 2.3/6 rating/share.
