Senator Barack Obama’s 30-minute informercial, which included a live segment from his Florida rally at the end, drew 33.55 million viewers Wednesday night, according to Nielsen.

The special, the first of its kind since Ross Perot ran a similar one back in 1996, aired on CBS, FOX, NBC, Univision, BET, MSNBC and TV One from 8-8:30pm ET.  It easily out-drew the Perot special, which was watched by 22.68 million viewers.

Nielsen notes that on an average Wednesday, these networks draw a combined 30.3 million viewers during this time period.
