Warner Bros. has replaced Charlotte Gainsbourg with Bryce Dallas Howard (pictured right) in Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. Howard will play the character Kate, who was introduced in Terminator 3 as Kate Brewster (played by Clarie Danes). [THR]
British actor Matthew Marsden is the newest addition to the cast of Transformers 2. He’s been cast in the role of “Graham”, a character who is part of the British Special Forces. [MTV]

Harold Perrineau, who starred as Michael on ABC’s hit drama Lost, has joined ABC’s one-hour dramedy pilot The Unusuals. Perrineau will play Det. Leo Banks who is always agitated and never takes off his Kevlar vest as he worries he might die, according to THR.
Just a few days ago, a rumor surfaced on The Daily Express that Scottish actor James McAvoy was in the “pole” position for the role of Bilbo Baggins (click here to read that article) in The Hobbit and that Daniel Radcliffe and Jack Black were also in line for the role. Jack Black tells MTV though that there is no truth to the rumor: “No, no. There’s no talk of it,” the comic proclaimed, denying the article’s validity. “So I’m not gonna talk about it.” [MTV]
Danny Glover, Thandie Newton and Oliver Platt are in discussions to join Roland Emmerich’s epic disaster project 2012. The film is tentatively slated to be released on July 10, 2009. [/Film]
Bill Zane will star opposite Teri Polo in ABC’s Finnegan. The show revolves around the organized crime/vice unit in Los Angeles, led by a tough female detective (Polo). Zane will play Deputy D.A. Brian Clark. [THR]
