Sorry Men in Trees fans.  TVGuide is reporting that ABC has cut down the sophomore drama.  The site reports they were informed of the news by series creator Jenny Bicks, who herself was informed of the cancellation decision late last week: “I am really proud of the work we did on MIT,” she tells me. “A huge thank you to our supportive fans.”

Bicks believes that what did the series in was two years of sloppy scheduling from the network: “I wish the show had not been moved six times and put onto two long hiatuses,” she sighs. “No show could survive that.”

The good news for Men in Trees fans is that Bicks and her team prepared for the show’s possible demise by shooting an alternate series-finale ending that will now be tacked onto the show’s last episode (which is scheduled to air this summer).

The final stretch of episodes begins airing on Wednesday, May 28th.

What the heck is ABC doing by moving Boston Legal into Kiss of Death Slot. Its is so dumb on the part of the Brain Trust who sat up thinking ,,GEE what a great idea, NOT

Don’t get me started on that, lou. Though ABC isn’t the only network that is guilty of doing this sort of thing, they sure aren’t making very good decisions. Boston Legal is one of my favorite shows, so it irritates me to see that ABC is moving it around so much. Did you happen to catch the joke within the show on last week’s episode about them not knowing when time they were on? :)
