Nothing surprising with Tuesday nights results, as Idol easily powers Fox to a win.

In series premiere news, New Amsterdam benefited greatly from its post-Idol time slot, as it was amply sampled with nearly 14 million viewers.

Fox finished in first place for the evening with a 12.1/18 household rating/share, 20.94 million viewers and a 7.5/18 rating/share among adults 18-49.
