CBS Renews “Survivor” January 28, 2008 11:31 pm

CBS has ordered another season (two cycles) of its hit reality series Survivor. With the new deal, for the 17th and 18th seasons, the show will remain on the network through at least 2009.
Jeff Probst, the shows host from the very beginning, also signed a deal to remain on through the 18th installment.
The news comes with just a little over a week remaining before season sixteen begins. Survivor: Micronesia debuts on CBS on February 7.Source: Hollywood Reporter
