Monday night’s Democratic presidential debate on CNN between Senator’s Clinton and Obama and former Senator Edwards was the most-watched primary in cable TV history.
The debate, two hours in length, average a record 4.9 million viewers, with nearly 2 million of those viewers in the key A25-54 demographic. The numbers eclipsed the prior record for the network, last November’s GOP YouTube debate, also on CNN, which drew about 4.5 million viewers.
