TV Guide’s Michael Ausiello is reporting that NBC has put in back-nine orders for two of their freshman series: Chuck and Life.

From Ausiello:

Sources confirm to me exclusively that the Peacock has picked up Chuck and Life for the full season.

Both shows have done only so so this season, with Chuck performing only mildly better. Through nine aired episodes thus far this season, Chuck has averaged 7.84 million viewers, with a 4.7/7 household rating/share and a 3.1/8 adults 18-49 rating/share.

Life meanwhile has averaged 7.53 million viewers with a 4.9/8 household rating/share and a 2.8/8 adults 18-49 rating/share through eight aired episodes.

Thank goodness Chuck has been picked up for the full season. The show is so well done and the cast is terrific. Not sure how this plays into the writer’s strike, though.
