Showtime’s serial killer drama Dexter has broken the record for the most-watched Showtime series of all-time. The 9:00 p.m. Sunday episode drew an audience of 1.23 million viewers (0.7/1 HH rating/share and a 0.4/1 A18-49 rating/share), and 1.63 million total when including the 11:00 p.m. encore.

The mark breaks the prior record of 1.21 million for the 2004 series Soul Food.

It was up an impressive 41% from the week prior, and also helped lead-out Brotherhood to its best numbers ever (541,000 viewers at 10:00, with a 0.4/1 HH rating/share and a 0.2/0 A18-49 rating/share along with another 110,000 at midnight), an increase of 47% from the week prior.
