CBS, Fox, NBC and ABC all had something to be happy about on Sunday night, as CBS won the evening among households and viewers, while Fox took first among adults 18-49.

NBC and ABC tied for second among adults 18-49.

CBS finished in first place for the evening with a 8.6/13 household rating/share and 13.48 million viewers, but fell to fourth place among adults 18-49 with a 3.3/8 rating/share.

NBC finished tied for second place for the evening among households with a 7.0/11 household rating/share, was third among viewers with 10.88 million and managed a tie for second among adults 18-49 with a 4.2/10 rating/share.

  • Keep in mind that ratings for live sporting events often change significantly when the finals are released. Expect the same to be true (with ratings likely increasing) when the finals for this telecast are released.
  • 8:00 (8:15) p.m.: Well, it looked like a great flex scheduling decision when the announcement was made by the NFL and NBC. NBC Sunday Night Football: New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (8.0/12 HH rating/share, 12.38M viewers, 4.8/12 A18-49 rating/share) turned out to be a blowout.

ABC followed in fourth place for the evening with a 6.6/10 household rating/share and 10.65 million, but managed to tie for second among adults 18-49 with a 4.2/10 rating/share.

all i can say is woo hoo!!! the greatest show on tv the simpsons ratings grew this week!
