Speaking on a Dutch radio program, Paul Verhoeven this week said he would be directing the sequel to 1999’s The Thomas Crown Affair.

The film, titled The Topkapi Affair, will draw on material from1964’s Topkapi and the novel from which it was based on (The Light of the Day).

Pierce Brosnan will return to star in the film.
