“X-Files 2” Set for July, 2008 October 31, 2007 10:09 pm

20th Century Fox today announced that the new film based on the popular and award-winning Fox series The X-Files will be released on July 25, 2008.
The film reunites series stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, and will be directed by series creator Chris Carter, who co-wrote the screenplay with Frank Spotnitz.
The storyline of the film is still being kept under wraps, but it is known that the film will not be a direct sequel to the 1998 film, as it’ll follow more in the tradition of the TV series.
