Writers have been hired for the long in development Friday the 13th remake.
According to ShockTillYouDrop, Platinum Dunes is putting the film on their slate and intends to begin shooting sometime in early 2008.
The writers hired for the project are Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. The duo penned the 2003 horror film Freddy vs. Jason.
