USA Network has renewed Psych for a third season, ordering up an additional 16 episodes of the comedy.
Psych has fared well for the network and has proven to be quite compatible with the networks flagship comedy series Monk, oftentimes growing upon its lead-in among the key A18-49 demographic. It has averaged 4.6 million viewers this summer.
“The series has been a critical and ratings sensation since it premiered last summer and continues to gain new viewers and grow its fan-base,” said USA exec VP of original programming Jeff Wachtel.
