In welcomed news to MTV after seeing two consecutive years of declines for their flagship awards show, the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards improved upon last year’s performance with 7.08 million viewers (+23%) tuning in to the event.
The 7.1 million viewers is still a far cry from the 10.3 million who tuned into the 2004 show, but an improvement from the 5.8 million who tuned in last season, and only marginally below the 8 million achieved in 2005.
