E! has acquired the broadcast rights to several Universal movie properties, including Knocked Up and Evan Almighty.

In a $40 million deal, the cable network receives the first network window to both films, plus Man of the Year.  In addition, the network gets later window deals for six other movies: I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, Miami Vice, Because I Said So, Pride & Prejudice, Georgia Rule and the direct-to-DVD sequel Bring It On: All or Nothing.

Knocked Up is the key acquisition, and will premiere on the basic cable channel in October 2009.  Their exclusive window on the film will be from 2009-2013, with no other broadcast or cable network able to air it during that time.
