The X-Files star David Duchovny (who currently stars in the Showtime half-hour comedy/drama Californication) told Access Hollywood that he has read the script for the proposed second X-Files movie.
Duchovny told the entertainment news show that he’s read it “But I’m sworn to secrecy legally, actually. If I were to tell you anything about, it … I would be sued.”
The screen play was written by The X-Files creator Chris Carter and series executive producer Frank Spotnitz. Carter will also direct.
Duchovny added:
“We’re going to try to keep it under wraps and try to keep it a surprise,” Duchovny said. “You know, unfortunately, I think with so much media attention on show business, … it’s almost impossible to think of, like, a Sixth Sense coming out now.”
