“Transfomers” to be Rereleased [Update] August 17, 2007 9:36 pm

ComingSoon.net/SuperheroHype.com have learned that Paramount Pictures will be rereleasing their mega hit Transformers in IMAX theaters.
[Update] It’s been confirmed via Michael Bay that the IMAX version will contain an additional two minutes of footage. From MichaelBay.com:
I contacted Michael to verify if the IMAX release of Transformers will include additional footage not seen in the first theatrical release, and he has confirmed that there will be about 2 extra minutes.
The film will hit IMAX theaters on September 21 with more footage than the conventional theatrical version.
Details of what will be in the new version have not yet been released.
Since being released on July 1st, Transformers has taken in a total of $633.95 million ($304.54 million domestically and another $329.41 million overseas).
